Host a Russian Student This Summer

The International Programs Office is pleased to announce an opportunity to host a Russian student in your home for three weeks (July 28 or August 2-August 16) as a part of the Year of Exchange for Russians Program (YEAR). This program is funded by the U.S. Embassy in Moscow, Russia, and administered by American Councils for International Education in partnership with the University of Idaho. Host families will be compensated $450 to host the student. The purpose of the homestay is to build strong cross-cultural relations with members of the community. After completion of the homestay, students move into dormitories for the start of the academic year, but maintain close contact with their family through the remainder of the year. Read more

Bridge Idaho Upward Bound is seeking a Night Shift Residential Mentor. Provides live-in strict supervision for high school students from culturally diverse backgrounds during the summer residential portion of the Bridge Idaho projects. Mainly responsible for nighttime risk management. Will include night shifts and weekend responsibilities from the beginning of June through the end of July, 2018. Job Opportunity: Campus Registered Dietitian, Student Affairs

Reporting to the Director, Health Promotion, the Registered Dietitian is responsible for providing outpatient nutrition care and educational programs for University of Idaho students. The dietitian is responsible for providing medical nutrition therapy for students referred by medical providers or self-referrals including nutrition assessments, identifying patient needs, utilizing motivational interviewing techniques to counsel patients, and documenting progression of care. The dietitian participates in a multidisciplinary team, coordinating care of patients with Student Health Services/Moscow Family Medicine medical providers and Counseling and Testing Center; referring patients to outside services where appropriate. The dietitian maintains required records, reports and files; maintains confidentiality of patient information in accordance with UI-SHS policies and procedures, state and federal HIPAA requirements, and maintains and enhances professional development as required for licensing and registration.
