Confirm Your Enrollment

Fall Deposit Priority Date: May 1
Spring Deposit Priority Date: Dec 15

Choosing where you will go to college is an exciting decision. Submitting your enrollment deposit will secure your spot in our incoming class.

You will also receive:

  • Priority advising and course/class registration
  • Additional information about campus housing (residence halls, Steel House women's cooperative fraternity and sorority houses)
  • Confirmation of your financial aid and scholarship awards
  • Updates on New Student Orientation

The enrollment deposit allows the university to effectively plan for class offerings and student resources.

You can pay your deposit online via VandalWeb or submit it by mail, over the phone, or in person. If you are paying online, be sure to have your VandalWeb (NetID) login available.

By submitting your $100* deposit—which will be credited to your student account when class fees are posted—you will officially begin your journey as a U-Idaho student.

We cannot wait to welcome you to the Vandal Family!

*Some students may be eligible for a waiver of the deposit and still confirm their place as U-Idaho students. Please see the information below to determine if you may qualify. If you feel that you are eligible for a waiver, you may submit a waiver request online or by mail using the Confirm online or Confirm by mail buttons above.

Questions about the enrollment deposit

The UI requires a $100 enrollment deposit to secure your space in the incoming class and make all necessary plans for your arrival so we can officially welcome you to the Vandal family.

The enrollment deposit allows the University to plan for class offerings and student resources in preparation for your arrival. Additionally, you will receive updated information about registering for classes, on-campus housing, New Student Orientation and other opportunities offered at UI.

The enrollment deposit is required for all new domestic first-year and transfer students who are planning to enroll at UI in the fall and spring semesters. Qualified waivers may be requested by those who have a government-sponsored or other scholarship that will cover all expenses for tuition, fees, books, etc.

We recognize that there are students for whom the enrollment deposit may present a financial hardship. Generally, if you are eligible for Pell Grants or other federally-funded programs (TRIO, Upward Bound, Talent Search, etc.) or you are a first-year student who qualified for free/reduced lunches while in high school, you may request an enrollment deposit waiver. If approved, the enrollment deposit waiver will allow you to confirm your space in the Vandal incoming class. You can submit your waiver online or by mail.

The enrollment deposit is not a new fee—the $100 will be applied to your UI student account once class fees have been applied and may be used toward tuition, room, board or other charges.

You are encouraged to submit your deposit before May 1 for the entering fall semester, and before December 15 for the spring semester. The University will accept deposits after these dates, but deposits will be processed on an individual, space-available basis.

The enrollment deposit is non-refundable.

  • By credit card (Mastercard or Visa): Pay online via VandalWeb or call the Office of Admissions at 208-885-6326 and provide credit card information over the phone. If paying online, be sure to have your VandalWeb login available.

  • In person: stop by the Office of Admissions in the Bruce Pitman Center at the University of Idaho Moscow campus, located at 709 S Deakin Avenue, Room 117 Moscow, Idaho.

We understand that plans change and that you may wish to enroll in a different term than the one that you originally applied. Our applications and deposits are term specific. If you choose to apply for a later term, you will need to submit an updated application for admission and an enrollment deposit for your new entry term.
