Through Eulalia Gallegos Buitron’s academic trajectory, she has actively worked to fill a significant research gap on the Mexican, Mexican American, and Chicanx im/migrant history in Idaho. Throughout her professional career, Gallegos Buitron has worked to transform public institutions to center the voices and experiences of non-dominant communities. As an interdisciplinary scholar with a Ph.D. in education, Gallegos Buitron’s research integrates sociocultural and sociohistorical perspectives, considering factors such as class, race, language, geography, historical context, and indigeneity throughout the Americas.
