Posted Mon, 26 Jun 2017 08:59:00 -0700University of Idaho agricultural researchers will display their work Tuesday, June 27, at the Parker Farm, one mile east of Moscow along State Highway 8 toward Troy, 1025 Plant Science Road. The field day sponsored by the UI College of Agricultural and Life Sciences will begin with registration at 8 a.m. The field tour will begin at 9 a.m., featuring updates from weed and crop researchers. The event is free and open to the public.

As part of the competition, the students are looking for volunteers to come test a dairy-based bar they developed.

The tours will begin with registration at 8 a.m. and conclude at noon with a sponsored lunch in both locations. Pesticide applicator recertification credits will be available. Read more
Posted Mon, 12 Jun 2017 12:00:00 -0700"Plant Puzzles" is the title for the Science Saturday session on June 17 in the UI Arboretum with Bertie Weddell from the WSU Dept. of Horticulture. Children will be taught to recognize and name several plant species in the Arboretum and will learn botanical vocabulary. In teams of two to four, participants will solve a plant identification puzzle. Appropriate for grades K-5. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
