U of I Boise Specialists & Certificates
In addition to formal degrees and certificates, the College of Natural Resources offers opportunities for professionals to continue their education through our online and hybrid (online lectures & in person workshops) courses. This includes professionals working for the federal agencies that are looking to fulfill educational requirements, that in combination with work experience, may help meet qualification standards for specific GS Professional and Scientific Positions.
The Curriculum & Instruction, Ed. Specialist program prepares educators for positions in education administration. The degree places graduates on the forefront of theory, policy and practice needed to guide and lead today's schools. These degrees are designed for K-12 teachers and administrators who desire to transform schools into high-performing, inclusive and continuous learning communities.
The Educational Leadership, Ed. Specialist program prepares you to be at the forefront of theory and research in the field, with the skills and insight to influence policy and to improve educational institutions at the local, regional, state and national levels.
This 15-credit certificate Fire Ecology, Management & Technology program is designed for traditional and non-traditional students who would like to increase the depth and breadth of their expertise in fire science and management. It can be completed entirely online. The certificate may also be applicable for those seeking educational requirements required for federal employment.
Designed for working professionals, the five-course graduate Human Resource Development certificate can also be applied to a masters or doctorate degree in Adult Organizational Learning and Leadership. And you can do it all online, if you choose.
