GAP Analysis Scientist Presents Results of National Birds Report

Jocelyn Aycrigg, conservation biologist for the National Gap Analysis Program, presented the results of the “State of the Birds Report 2011: Report on Public Lands and Waters of the U.S.” at a US Geological Survey seminar held July 21 at the USGS Headquarters in Reston, Va. Personnel from USGS Headquarters and Science Centers across the country attended. The report highlights the important role that public lands have in conserving bird populations. Aycrigg was a member of the State of the Birds Science Team that produced the report and was an author of one of the report’s chapters. To learn more, visit www.stateofthebirds.org.
