U of I to Host Annular Solar Eclipse Watch Party Oct. 14

MOSCOW, Idaho —  A community watch party for the annular solar eclipse is planned from 8 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, on the Theophilus Tower lawn at University of Idaho.

Prime viewing time is between 8:45 and 10 a.m. with the maximum eclipse at approximately 9:23 a.m. Cloudy weather will cancel the event.

Faculty and students from the University of Idaho College of Science and Department of Physics will be on hand to answer questions. Eclipse glasses will be available. Participants should bring chairs or blankets and water if desired.
