1,000 Local Students Join Jazz Choirs for Annual Holiday Concert

Get in the holiday spirit by joining the University of Idaho Jazz Choirs on Friday, Dec. 8 for their annual holiday concert.
This family-friendly, holiday tradition featuring performances from schools around the region, begins at 7 p.m. in the ASUI-Kibbie Activity Center. Admission is free, but cash donations for the Lionel Hampton School of Music student scholarships will be accepted at the door. The concert features musical selections from around the world encompassing a variety of holiday traditions.
The U of I Jazz Choirs will perform along with nearly 1,000 local and regional elementary, junior high school and high school choir members. Also performing is the university’s Holiday String Orchestra and Holiday Swing Band. For those unable to attend, the concert will be live-streamed at https://www.uidaho.edu/news/ui-live.
The jazz choirs’ holiday concert is presented by the Lionel Hampton School of Music in cooperation with the College of Letters, Arts and Social Sciences and the Office the President, with support from regional schools including the Moscow School District, the local area businesses and community volunteers.
