Transfer Students

Qualifying transfer students who have completed 14 or more semester credits or 21 quarter credits after high school graduation will automatically be considered for merit-based scholarships with a completed admission application (including transcripts). There are no separate applications for scholarships.

For priority consideration, submit complete admission (including transcripts) application and the FAFSA by Dec. 1.

Additional need-based funds may be available based on the results of your FAFSA.

Idaho Residents

The Transfer Idaho Scholarship Program recognizes students who are residents of Idaho with a guaranteed level of scholarship funding. Students who are admitted for 2017-18 and meet the following criteria are guaranteed to receive the level of funding listed below from a combination of UI scholarships. By maintaining a minimum GPA, this level of funding may be renewed for an additional two to three years, depending on the number of credits transferred.

Out-of-State Residents

The Discover Idaho Transfer Program recognizes students from states other than Idaho (or WA & OR students qualifying for WUE) with academic merit scholarships to pay a portion of non-resident tuition expense. Students who are admitted for 2017-18 and meet the following criteria are guaranteed to receive the level of funding listed below. By maintaining a minimum GPA, this award may be renewed for an additional 2-3 years, depending on the number of credits transferred.
