    Cheryl Wilhelmsen worked for APUS in the Homeland Security Department for 12 years, consulted with NASA Ames in the area of aviation in inspection and maintenance in composite aircraft, worked for General Dynamics as a Sr. Ergonomics Analyst for General Dynamics in support of the Navy for 3 years, and worked as the Assistant Director of the Safety Program for the University of Idaho at the Idaho Falls Campus for 9 years.

    For nineteen years, she worked for the Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory (INEEL) in various capacities. She was the project manager for the Air Force (ASOC) project for two years and served fifteen years of professional experience in both research and application work in the areas of training, aviation safety, ergonomics, human factors, systems engineering, industrial engineering, safety and health, and computer software development and usage.
