Recreation, Sport, and Tourism Management (RSTM)

By choosing the bachelors of science in recreation from the University of Idaho, you will be prepared to enter a career designed to encourage healthy active lifestyles. As a graduate, you will have the opportunity for increased personal and professional quality of life and be prepared for a wide array of recreation, park and tourism positions. Alumni find leadership and management jobs in the recreation field such as being a commercial recreation outfitter and guide, special events coordinator, fitness club or sports facility manager, or a director of recreation for a campus, city or summer camp. The UI Recreation Program is accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Parks, Recreation, Tourism and Related Professionals.

With Idaho’s scenic recreation and outstanding outdoor resources, it is among the best settings to earn a degree. Moscow and the surrounding areas have consistently been ranked among the best places to live in the U.S. by media outlets including Outdoor Life, Outside Magazine, ABC News, Mother Earth News and Businessweek. Within an hour of Moscow, you will find rivers for fishing, boating and white-water rafting, wilderness for hiking and camping and mountains for skiing.
