Spring 2018 Graduate with Spring Registration
Thesis/Dissertation Students
- April 20: Final day to complete a successful final defense. Submit your thesis or dissertation for the first format review two weeks prior to your final defense. (This does not need to be your final draft.)
- April 27: Deadline to submit the final version of your document to ETD (this is the fully revised—both content and format—version that will be published online). Contact Kathy Duke if you require assistance submitting your document.
- May 4: Final day to submit the printed bond copy of your document to Morrill Hall 104. Theses or dissertations received after this date will push your graduation date to Summer 2018.
Non-Thesis Students
- May 11: Deadline to submit the Non-Thesis Report form to the College of Graduate Studies.
Summer 2018 Graduate without Summer 2018 Registration
Spring 2018 registration required. International Students must register for a minimum of 1 Spring credit.

Graduate Admissions Deadlines
The priority application deadline is Feb. 1 for fall semester and summer sessions and Sept. 1 for spring semester. Priority consideration for awarding College of Graduate Studies tuition waivers will be given to applicants who meet those deadlines by submitting all requirements by the deadline.

Applications received by U.S. applicants after the deadlines but before the official start of the semester for which the applicant is seeking entry will be accepted only if additional students can be accommodated. Applicants should check with the departmental contact to determine this availability.
International Application Deadlines

Note for International Applicants: To provide time for evaluation, for notice of admission status to reach the applicant, and for USICE requirements to be met for issuance of a student visa, applications and credentials should be received by the Graduate Admissions Office no later than the above dates.
