Coeur d'Alene Center Information

Courses and Locations

U of I Coeur d’Alene offers a variety of courses online and in-person. The class schedule is searchable on VandalWeb.

Coeur d’Alene courses are typically held on or near the North Idaho College campus in downtown Coeur d’Alene.

Harbor Center

1031 N. Academic Way, Coeur d’Alene ID 83814

Our faculty offices and staff are generally housed in the Harbor Center, which is also where you’ll find a Student Lounge, computer lab, study space and the Coeur d’Alene Vandal Store, as well as classrooms and meeting rooms.

Parking is free at the Harbor Center.

DeArmond Building

901 River Ave., Coeur d’Alene, ID 83814

Our student support services and admissions staff are based out of the DeArmond Building on NIC’s campus as part of our partnership with NIC and Lewis-Clark State College in the North Idaho Higher Education Consortium. Several courses are also housed in the DeArmond Building, and the common study spaces and reservable meeting rooms are available to U of I Coeur d’Alene students.

An NIC parking permit is required before 4 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and before 2:30 p.m. on Fridays. Find more information at nic.edu/parking.

Hedlund Building

420 N. College Drive, Coeur d’Alene ID 83814

The Hedlund Building on NIC’s campus is home to our Computer Science program in Coeur d’Alene. Student, faculty and staff offices, as well as workrooms and a common space, are located on the second floor, and our Robotics Lab is located on the first floor. The Hedlund Building is also the headquarters for the U of I’s Center for Intelligent Industrial Robotics (CI2R).

Student Housing

University of Idaho Coeur d'Alene does not offer student housing. The North Idaho College Residence Hall may accept U of I students on a space-available basis. Additional housing options may be found through these local business directories and resources:

There are several ways to get involved with U of I Coeur d’Alene.

  • Volunteer for or participate in our outreach programs. Whether you want to be a citizen scientist with the Bay Watchers program or become a Master Gardener or Master Forest Steward through our county extension offices, U of I Coeur d’Alene has something for everyone.

  • Visit us at the Harbor Center. Stop by to check out the Coeur d’Alene Vandal Store in the lobby, or host your next meeting in one of our reservable rooms – make your reservation today.
