Since March 2010, then the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA or ACA) became law, the University of Idaho has devoted significant time and effort toward understanding how it will affect our health plan and our employees. As a result, this year we are expanding eligibility to the University's medical and prescription drug plan, allowing employees who are not Regents Board-Appointed to enroll. The University is extending medical and prescription coverage only
, at full cost, to non-board appointed employees who:
- Work at least 30 hours a week, or
- Teach at least 11 credits per semester as a temporary faculty member or lecturer
