There is no free parking on campus, all areas either require a permit or payment at the parking location. Below is an overview of visitor parking options on campus.

Visitor Parking Options

  1. Purchase a Visitor permit and park in a Gold, Red, Blue, Purple, Silver, or Green parking lot. Visitor permits are $2/day and can be purchased online, or at the Parking Office located in the Intermodal Transit Center on the corner of Sweet Avenue and Railroad Street (1006 Railroad Street). 

    • A parking permit is required  to park on campus in all colored parking lots between the hours of 6 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday - Friday. Green lots require a permit at all times (24/7), and some individual spaces within Gold lots require permits until 9 p.m. Monday - Friday. Entrances to all lots are posted with signage designating enforcement times, individual spaces enforced beyond 5 p.m. are also posted with signage.View the campus parking map for locations of all colored lots on campus.
    • Visitor permits are valid in any regular space in any colored lot (Gold, Red, Blue, Purple, Silver, Green). They are also valid in any Visitor parking space, designated by signage and as shown on the campus parking map. Visitor permits are NOT valid in meters, timed spaces, reserved spaces, service/delivery spaces, disability spaces (except when a state-issued Disability permit is also displayed), anywhere on the campus walkway system, or in any area not designated as a space.

  2. Park in a self-serve pay station parking lot or at a individual SmartMeter space

    • There are three self-serve pay station parking lots on campus, as well as individual space SmartMeters, both allow for payment with debit/credit cards and coins. Hourly rates vary based on the location and time of day, ranging from $0.75 to $1.50 per hour. View the Pay Station & SmartMeter Location map to learn where the self-serve parking areas are located.

  3. Will you be staying overnight on campus?
    A Visitor permit is valid in parking lots that allow overnight parking. Overnight parking is allowed in all Purple, Silver, and Green lots on campus, permits are required at all times in Green lots, and from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Purple and Silver lots. Overnight parking is NOT allowed in any Gold, Red, or Blue lot.
