Develop a
Biosafety Manual. The
Biosafety Officer is available to assist with your questions regarding the Biosafety Manual. The Biosafety Manual once completed is sent to the Biosafety Officer for review.
-
For work at Biosafety Level 2 (BSL-2), ensure that the Biosafety Cabinet has been certified within the last year.
-
At the same time you submit the Biosafety Form, please email the
Biosafety Officer a request for a facility review.
-
If you plan to work at BSL-3 contact the Biosafety Officer immediately to start this process. It may take up to 6 months or longer to obtain all the federal registration requirements.
NOTE: The IBC cannot approve a protocol before the Biosafety Manual has been submitted and reviewed and the facility review has been satisfactorily completed.
