Volunteer Opportunities at the Stateline Wetland
Saturday, October 17 2009 at 9:00 AM
Help restore the Palouse landscape, get some fresh air, and enjoy the beautiful fall weather.
Sustainable Idaho, in conjunction with the University of Idaho Sustainability Center, is sponsoring multiple volunteer tree plantings during the month of October. Volunteers will revitalize Palouse habitat by planting native species of trees, shrubs and grasses in the area. Boots and durable pants are strongly recommended. Gloves, shovels and other materials will be provided. Planting dates are:
- Saturday, Oct. 17
- Saturday, Oct. 24
All events will run from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on all these dates. Volunteer groups will meet at the Stateline Wetland site on the south side of Highway 8, across from Wal-Mart. The site runs along Chipman Trail just east of the Washington/Idaho state Line. For more information, contact Chris Dixon at (208) 885-6113 or email@example.com.
