Update Your Vandal Alert Contact Information

University of Idaho uses Vandal Alert to accomplish multi-modal campuswide mass notifications through email, SMS (text messaging) and voice. The purpose of Vandal Alert is to enhance the U-Idaho community’s awareness and knowledge of emergency incidents that can impact them (such as a weather closure or delay) and to provide critical information to assist in our response efforts.
Through past experience, we know that during many emergency incidents, cell phones are the most reliable way of contacting a U-Idaho student or employee, especially during non-business hours. Please use the following procedures to update your Vandal Alert contact information:
1. Log in to Vandal Web
2. Click on Vandal Alert
3. Enter your current cell phone number and provider in the “Mobile 1” fields.
4. Enable text messaging by clicking “yes” under “Can UI send text messages to this phone?”.
5. Click “Submit.”
