MOSCOW, Idaho – The following is a list of University of Idaho sponsored events for the week of May 20-26. Events will take place in Moscow and are free and open to the public, unless otherwise noted.

Monday, May 20

Dissertation Defense: Absolah Elmehdi
3 p.m.
Gauss-Johnson Engineering Building, Room 218
620 S. Line St. in Moscow
Absolah Elmehdi, doctoral candidate in electrical engineering, will defend his dissertation entitled, "Needs of Dynamic Reactive Compensation at Rectifier End of LCC HVDC Link Connected to Weak AS System." This event is free and open to the public.

Tuesday, May 21
Moscow Science on Tap
6 p.m.
The Moose Lodge
210 N. Main St. in Moscow
Come enjoy an evening of great science. Food and refreshments are available for purchase. Science on Tap is sponsored by the University of Idaho, Idaho INBRE Program and the Moose Lodge.

Friday, May 24
Nancy Stonington Exhibit Reception
5 p.m.
Prichard Art Gallery
414 S. Main St. in Moscow
Seattle area artist Nancy Stonington will be the juror for the summer’s Regional Juried Watercolor exhibit. This exhibit will highlight her work as a lead in the summer exhibit.
