Mental Health First Aid Training Registration Open
Thursday, February 20 2014
Register for the Campus Suicide Prevention (CSP) Mental Health First Aid Training for faculty and staff on March 4, 1-5 p.m. and March 5, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Aurora Room, Idaho Commons. Just as CPR helps you assist an individual having a heart attack — even if you have no clinical training — Mental Health First Aid helps you assist someone experiencing a mental health related crisis. In the 8-hour interactive course, faculty and staff learn risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction concerns, strategies for how to help someone in both crisis and non-crisis situations, and where to turn for help. Course registration is $25 per participant. Register online at www.uidaho.edu/CTC/mental-health-resources/mental-health-first-aid/sign-up-form
