Linda Taylor, assistant professor of counseling and school psychology, will present with two of her students at an international conference in Portugal this summer.
Research by Hsin-Ying (Emily) Fang and Taylor has been accepted to present at the European Learning Styles and Information Network conference. Their presentation is entitled, "Understanding the Paradox of Asian Teaching Styles and High Achievement Compared to Western Teaching Styles along with Teaching and Learning Styles in Asian Cultures (based on the MBTI)." And joint research between Taylor and Sarah Wilkin, graduate student in counseling and school psychology, entitled "Kinesthetic Teaching Strategies with Struggling Readers" has been accepted for presentation at the same conference, which takes place at the University of Aveiro, Portugal, June 28-30. The conference will focus on exploring styles to enhance learning and teaching to diverse contexts.
