Kimberly R&E Center Forage Tour Aug. 12

University of Idaho Extension in partnership with the Mycogen Corp. will hold a forage field day Aug. 12 at the University of Idaho Kimberly Research and Extension Center. The program will focus on silage corn production and harvest and alfalfa production. Attendees may view variety trials for corn and alfalfa and other forage-related trials on the farm. Major forage harvester equipment dealers are invited to display their machines.
Producers will have the opportunity to meet with company reps to learn about the machines including operation, maintenance, and adjustments. A two-acre demonstration plot has been planted and attendees will be able to see the new machines in action. Alfalfa harvest equipment will also be available for viewing.
