Devadoss Wins National Teaching Award

Dr. Stephen Devadoss, Professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics, received the United States Department of Agriculture’s Food and Agricultural Sciences Excellence in Teaching Award for the western region. This award honors the excellence in teaching of faculty members who practice and advocate effective and innovative teaching in food and agricultural sciences. This prestigious award recognizes the importance of the role of teachers, which is essential to promoting the scientific and professional expertise vital for the future development and progress of the food and agricultural system. This award was presented at the 123rd annual meetings of the Association of Public and Land-Grant Universities on November 14, 2010, in Dallas. President Duane Nellis, Dr. John Foltz, Associate Dean of Academics in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, and Dr. Devadoss attended the award ceremony.
