Christine Moffitt, professor of fish biology and assistant leader of the Idaho Cooperative Research Unit, recently was promoted by the Biological Resources Division of the U.S. Geological Survey to GS 14. This promotion recognizes the high quality of Moffitt’s research on invasive species risk and control measures, fish health and physiology and the environmental consequences of aquaculture. The review panel praised highly Moffitt’s mentoring skills and leadership in activities of the American Fisheries Society as well as her efforts to attract underrepresented groups to the field of fisheries biology.
