As an Economics/Finance and International Business major, I’m living my education. I’m from Belo Morizonte, Brazil, so every day in Moscow is like being in the classroom; learning different cultures and making new friends. I came to Idaho for the quality of its tennis program, the strength of the Western Athletic Conference and the University of Idaho’s reputation for academic excellence. I’ve always been a competitive person, but being here has taught me the importance of having both an open mind and a determined spirit. When I return home to Brazil, I’m looking forward to putting all of my experiences as a student-athlete at Idaho to good use, both in my career and in life.
Where are you from?
I’m a little far from home. I am from Belo Morizonte in Brazil.
What do you plan to do when you graduate?
I am planning on moving back to Brazil and use my experience at the University of Idaho to the test. I want to be able to make an impact in my community.
How is the University of Idaho helping you to achieve your goals?
The University of Idaho has helped shape me into a better tennis athlete, student, and person. I have experienced a lot here and I am truly excited and ready for my future. It’s nice that I can get a good education and be in such a wonderful and recreational environment at the same time.
Do you have any comments about your program?
Everybody is really nice and helpful here in the International Business program, I’ve made some wonderful friends and I have some great mentors.
