ITD High School Distracted Driving Safety Messaging Competition

Distracted driving is any activity that could divert a person's attention away from the primary task of driving. In 2014, 10 percent of fatal crashes, 18 percent of injury crashes, and 16 percent of all police-reported crashes were reported as distracted-affected crashes.

10 percent of all drivers that were ages 15-19 involved in fatal crashes were reported involving distracted drivers at the time of the incident. This age group has the largest amount of drivers who were distracted while driving.

‚ÄčOur goal is to increase the awareness of distracted driving throughout the State of Idaho, targeting young drivers.

Thank you to all who participated and raised awareness throughout Idaho by participating in this fun competition!
