Student Opportunities
As a student in the College of Education, you can learn, play and work on a residential campus. We offer unique opportunities for students by bringing high school students to campus for interaction during a physical education class prior to your 120-hour internship/student teaching. Students also teach in the elementary and junior high schools as well as work specifically with individuals with disabilities.
Students also work with the City of Moscow and local schools as part of our collaborative program, (e.g., Safe Routes to School, school wellness programs, elementary and junior high school practica, elective high school physical education program on University of Idaho campus) thus teaching our students to work towards a collaborative community in promoting physical activity and health.
If you maintain a high GPA, you will have the opportunity to be nominated for the national
Major of the Year award for the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education Recreation and Dance.
