Degree Roadmap

This is a three-year program. The first two years are spent primarily on coursework. The third year focuses on the thesis. For more information go to: M.F.A. in Creative Writing.

Degree Prep

Our students arrive as accomplished writers and readers. While many have not published their stories, poems and essays, most will do so during their time in the program. An undergraduate English degree is not mandatory.

Hands-On Learning

Teaching assistantships are awarded on a competitive basis. The program also offers fellowships for summer workshops and writing retreats.
