I grew up in central Texas on a farm and ranch operation. After high school, I sought a career in education through agriculture. I taught secondary schools in Texas for 14 years before gaining my doctorate in agricultural education. I have taught post-secondary courses in agricultural education and agricultural systems management. At the graduate level, I have taught statistical analysis and research methods.
