Counseling Techniques for Substance Use Disorders Panel

Sara Bennett, LCPC, CADC

Sara Bennett, LCPC, CADC completed her Master of Education degree at Washington State University, with a focus in educational leadership and counseling psychology. She began her career as a clinician with the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare before transitioning to Riverside Recovery in Lewiston, Idaho. In 2015, she took over management and ownership of the facility and now acts as Executive Director. The State of Idaho recognizes Sara as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Supervisor. She currently serves on Idaho’s Region 2 Behavioral Health Board as well as the Board of the Lewis-Clark Healthcare Foundation.

Kaitlin Killingsworth, CPRC

Kaitlin Killingsworth earned her associate degree in Criminal Justice from the College of Western Idaho in Nampa. Before graduating, she interned with a Drug Court in Boise where she currently serves as a certified peer recovery coach. Kaitlin graduated Drug Court in 2017 and has been sober since then. As a peer recovery coach, she uses her life experience to empower and help others living with substance use disorders pursue recovery through the connection to recovery-based community organizations and resources. In her free time, Kaitlin enjoys hiking, fishing and spending time with her two dogs, one of whom she is training to be a therapy dog.

Nari Hsiu, DO, Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine Specialist

Dr. Nari Hsiu is originally from Tacoma, WA and is a graduate of the University of Washington. She obtained her osteopathic medical degree at Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences in Yakima, WA. She completed psychiatry residency training at the University of Washington, Idaho Advanced Clinician Track and is a recent graduate of the Boise Addiction Medicine Fellowship. Dr. Hsiu plans to pursue a career in community psychiatry and addiction medicine here in Idaho. She is excited and honored to participate in ECHO Idaho.

Natalia Samudovsky, LCPC, NCC

Natalia Samudovsky, LCPC, NCC, is a licensed clinical professional counselor and a national certified counselor at Trivium Life Services in Boise. As a substance use disorder counselor and therapist, Natalia works with both adolescent and adult clients in individual and group settings, specializing with clients who are justice-involved. She has served as a primary therapist for the Ada County LEAD program, coordinating care with Raise the Bottom Idaho and the Boise Police Department. Prior to becoming licensed, she completed her clinical internship at the Idaho Juvenile Correctional Facility in Nampa and received training in youth suicide assessment and prevention services. Natalia is passionate about helping those with behavioral health and substance use disorders. She received her Master’s in Counseling at Boise State University in 2018 with a focus on addiction counseling.
