Adriana Ota-Kotner

Adriana serves as the SEVIS & International Systems Coordinator and helps students and scholars comply with immigration regulations. Adriana knows what it feels like to be a newcomer to a foreign country and enjoys interacting with U of I international students and scholars, especially helping those who are experiencing challenges in the US. Adriana is originally from Brazil and she sparked her interest in International Education when she studied abroad in Tsukuba, Japan. In 2008 she moved to San Diego, California for 12 years and worked for the University of California-San Diego. When away from the office, you can find Adriana finding “treasures” at estate sales, metal detecting, or inside baking cakes, and bread.
