There are many different career options within the field of nursing, such as Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Midwife (CNM), and Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). Students are encouraged to explore these different career options in order to determine which is the best fit for their personal aspirations. Information about nursing careers can be found here: RNtoBSN.

Admission to a school of nursing involves meeting satisfactorily its entrance requirements, acceptable scholastic records or a satisfactory score on the nursing admission test, and possession of personal qualifications essential for effective nursing. Nursing schools differ in their prerequisites, so students should carefully investigate the requirements of their top choice schools.

The following is a list of courses and suggested two-year sequence for students who plan to transfer to a school of nursing in pursuit of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN): Suggested University of Idaho Pre-Nursing Courses

LCSC Pre-nursing and Pre-radiography

Lewis-Clark State College’s (LCSC) Division of Nursing and Health Sciences holds office hours at the University of Idaho Career Center, room 342, in the Commons Building to advise pre-nursing and pre-radiography students about the programs at LCSC.
