Pre-Nursing

Admission to a school of nursing involves meeting satisfactorily its entrance requirements, acceptable scholastic records or a satisfactory score on the nursing admission test, and possession of personal qualifications essential for effective nursing. Nursing schools differ in their prerequisites. Students should investigate the requirements of their school of choice.

The following two-year program is suggested for students who plan to transfer to a school of nursing.

Note: Pre-nursing students are strongly encouraged to take Math 143

LCSC Pre-nursing and Pre-radiography

Lewis-Clark State College’s (LCSC) Division of Nursing and Health Sciences holds office hours at the University of Idaho Career Center, room 342, in the Commons Building to advise pre-nursing and pre-radiography students about the programs at LCSC. U of I students may take pre-nursing or pre-radiography courses before transferring to LCSC's nursing (Practical or baccalaureate programs) or radiography program. LCSC advisors are available to help students understand the healthcare career options at LCSC, transfer course equivalencies, pre-requisite coursework, and LCSC admission procedures.
