Barbara Foltz has been with the Social Science Research Unit (SSRU) in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology for 15 years, and currently serves as the Survey Operations Manager. Her years of experience have given her a keen eye for questionnaire and study design, and she is a valuable resource to SSRU’s clients for effective survey design that addresses the primary research questions of the client and has been shown to yield high response rates.
Barbara has a great deal of experience with social science research methods. As a member of the SSRU, Barbara is enthusiastic about each project and takes ownership to ensure quality procedures. She loves working with agencies and communities throughout Idaho, and enjoys helping people collect the quality data they need to address key issues in the state and region.
As Survey Operations Manager, her contribution to the STEM Education Research Project includes consulting on survey instrument design, coordinating and overseeing data collection, data quality control, and supervising the many student employees of the SSRU.
