My name is Holly LaHann, and I am the Assistant Director for Study Abroad and Exchange Programs in the University of Idaho Study Abroad Office. I grew up in North Idaho and completed a degree in International Studies and German at the University of Idaho. As a UI student, I studied in Graz, Austria for one semester to improve my German language skills and take classes that applied to my International Studies degree. It has always been a passion of mine to learn about new cultures, study languages, and explore different countries. Through my study abroad experience in Austria, I knew I wanted to pursue a future career in the International Education field. After graduating from college I was accepted into the JET (Japan Exchange and Teaching) Program and taught English to Japanese high school students for two years. I returned to Idaho to begin an exciting career working with University of Idaho students to realize their dreams of studying abroad and have been working here for over six years. I have been fortunate to visit many locations around the world for work and pleasure including Austria, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Luxembourg, Slovenia, Monaco, England, Scotland, India, Japan, Thailand, Hong Kong and Costa Rica. In my free time I enjoy teaching yoga, trying out new recipes, enjoying the many outdoor activities Idaho has to offer, and planning my next adventure.
