  • What are the steps to becoming a certified agent with the University of Idaho?
    After taking the time to research our university, the first step is to complete our Agent Application. We will review all applications at the end of each month and will be in touch soon after with next steps.

  • How long is a contract signed for?
    Generally, all of our contracts are signed for a period of three years. After each year, we will evaluate the performance of our partnerships and determine best steps in moving forward.
  • Besides the items listed on the website that are required for a complete application, what other documents should I submit as an agent?
    It is very important to submit the following for each student that you assist in the application process: (1) Admissions Application Cover Letter and an (2) Agent Consent for Release of Information Form that’s signed and dated by the student. Without these documents we cannot share pertinent information with you, nor pay commission.
  • Who should I contact if I have any general questions about our contract, application requirements, or anything else pertaining to the University of Idaho?

  • How will I know which students are currently enrolled at the University of Idaho for commission purposes?
    We greatly encourage you to stay connected with the students you work with and keep adequate records of their enrollment whenever possible. If you have specific questions about a student’s enrollment, please contact us for assistance. A student must authorize us to speak with you by first signing the Agent Consent for Release of Information Form.
  • When are the different commission cycles?
    Commission payments, as outlined in our agent contract agreement, are issued five times per year to capture all five sessions of our American Language & Culture Program (ALCP) and our two semesters for degree-seeking students. There are two payments in the fall, two in the spring and one in the summer.

    Before each commission payment cycle, you will be sent a list of students currently enrolled at the UI through your agency and will request an invoice once you have confirmed the list of enrolled students.
  • How long does it take for commission payments to be issued once an invoice has been submitted?
    Generally this depends on how you are requesting payment. Commission payments sent by bank wire are usually received within 5-10 business days, which includes processing time. If payment is requested by check, this can take up to three or more weeks to be received.
  • How can I check the status of a student’s application?
    Any application completed online can be accessed again by logging into VandelWeb where the original application was created:

    Here you can check whether or not the student is missing any application requirements. Simply use the same email and password that was initially used to create the application account.
