International Student Fees
The International Student Fee, implemented in 2009, allows the staff of International Student, Scholar and Faculty Services (ISSFS) to provide a comprehensive package of services and activities to serve and support the growing population of international students at the University. The fee of $50 per semester is charged to University of Idaho students who are in F-1 or J-1 status, except for those present at the University under the terms of a formal exchange agreement between the University and their home institution or other organizations (“exchange students”).
The International Student Orientation Fee was also implemented in 2009. The University of Idaho’s ISSFS strives to provide new international students with the greatest assistance possible as they settle into their surroundings in Moscow. As such, attendance at the multiday international student orientation is required for all new students. This orientation includes a complete immigration workshop, cultural activities, access and information to many important academic, social and health-related resources, and provides several meals and interaction with peers and current students. There is a one-time cost of $65 for all new international students. This fee is added to student accounts after the student has attended an orientation.
The Late Orientation Fee, implemented in 2007, will be charged to students who do not attend the scheduled New Student Orientation, which is required upon arrival at the University of Idaho. Students will be charged an additional $100 to their student account for a total cost of $165 USD. They will still be required to attend a late orientation session.
If you believe that you have been charged any of the above fees erroneously, please contact ISSFS with appropriate documentation.
