About Us

The University of Idaho American Language and Culture Program (ALCP) is an intensive English language program accredited by the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation (CEA) designed to help students develop the language skills needed to succeed in academic programs in the United States.
Since its beginning in 1992, the ALCP has helped hundreds of students improve their English language abilities.

Conditional Admission is offered in all undergraduate majors through the University of Idaho’s American Language and Culture Program (ALCP).  The ALCP offers 21 hours per week of instruction. Eight-week courses of study are offered in January, March, May, August, and October.  The ALCP also provides short-term programs for groups of students or professionals.
