International Programs Office
The International Programs Office (IPO) offers a variety of services for both foreign and domestic students:
ALCP (American Language & Cultural Program) is an intensive English program that provides students the opportunity to learn English as a second language. Many ALCP students extend their stay and enroll in University of Idaho courses.
IFA (International Friendship Association) helps international students make connections to the campus and community and offers ways for them to share their cultures while they are here. Students, campus and community members are invited to join in our many cultural programs and annual events.
ISSFS (International Student, Scholar & Faculty Services) provides information for all international students, scholars and faculty on immigration and cultural adjustment. ISSFS also coordinates many unique opportunities to explore the Palouse and the Inland Northwest.
Study Abroad gives UI students an opportunity to go abroad and experience a different culture. We value the importance of internationalization and provide many opportunities for students to study abroad during the fall, spring or summer sessions.
The friendly staff at IPO will provide a comprehensive orientation to the University and welcome you into the community. We hope you enjoy your time becoming a Vandal!
