Welcome to the University of Idaho Budget Office. As financial stewards for the university we are responsible for providing oversight of the budget management and position funding processes, identifying and allocating financial resources in alignment with the university’s mission and goals, and providing timely and accurate financial information both internally to the university community and externally to the State Board of Education and other university stakeholders.
For FY2018 we revert back to 26 pay periods meaning that all else being equal an employee on a fiscal year appointment could see a reduction in their total earnings for the fiscal year. This does not reflect a reduction in the rate of pay or annual base salary, but rather a reduction in the number of paychecks received during the fiscal year from 27 back to the normal 26. Total earnings for employees on an academic year appointment are not affected by this change; however, if they have elected to have their pay spread over the entire fiscal year their base salary will now be divided by the standard 26 pay periods instead of the 27 in effect for FY17.FY2018 Spread Pay
