Spring Orientation

Welcome to the University of Idaho! While this transition to campus life can be fun, some aspects of this change may be challenging. The Orientation Programming Office is here to help.

You are starting an exciting journey of achieving your academic and personal goals. Along the way, you will define a career path and meet lifelong friends who will be making the journey with you. Our opening weekend activities are designed to prepare you for spring semester classes and help you to make the University of Idaho your home.

All Orientation events have been crafted to deliver important information and experiences to aid in your transition to college.

Spring Orientation will be held on Monday, January 8, 2018 in the Pitman Center. Registration will open November 15, 2017 and a schedule will be available at that time. If you have questions or concerns please contact the Orientation Programming office at or by telephone at (208)-885-7058.

Dean of Students, Dr. Blaine Eckles will discuss what it means to be a parent of a Vandal and how to support your student.
