Despite being in the middle of the wilderness, Taylor Wilderness Research Station has comfortable rustic cabins with modern amenities. Lodging rates are $15 per person per night.
Visitors are responsible for bringing their own sleeping bag and food and must leave their living quarters clean upon departure. Cookware and cleaning supplies are available in each cabin. Log cabins have running water and septic systems. Heat is provided by wood stoves and wood is provided, although residents must split their own supply.
A micro hydroelectric generator on Pioneer Creek provides 120 volt electricity to the station, with backup power from solar power and a portable gas generator. There is no cell phone service or land line in the area, but wireless internet is provided via satellite.
