Taylor Wilderness Research Station has two weather stations. The National Weather Service Station measures the current temperature, daily high and low, and daily precipitation. Taylor station managers record these measurements every morning at 8:00 AM, 365 days a year. The observations are then radioed out to Arnold Aviation in Cascade, who then call the data in to the National Weather Service. Our daily readings can be viewed online here at the National Weather Service Forecast Office

Taylor Ranch also has a RAWS (Remote Automated Weather Station), installed in 2008. This station records temperature, dew point, relative humidity, wind speed, gusts, solar radiation, and fuel temperature every hour, and uploads the observations automatically via satellite uplink.
