University Honors Program (UHP) Students receive scholarships from a variety of sources, making their education at the University of Idaho affordable.
Awards are offered based on merit, financial need, achievement in specialized fields or a combination of these criteria.
The UHP offers honors scholarships and WUE (Western Undergraduate Exchange) awards to select students. These awards are based on merit and are most commonly offered as part of the Honors Presidential Scholars and Honors Fellows distinctions. (See more on honors scholarships)
The University of Idaho also offers more than $25 million in scholarship awards to students annually. Students are automatically considered when they apply for admission. (See more on University of Idaho scholarships)
Some honors students qualify for and receive distinguished scholarships, such as the Goldwater, Morris K. Udall, Fulbright and Boren scholarships. Advising for these scholarships is provided by the Honors Program. (See more on distinguished scholarships)
"I can't ever describe how thankful I was for the scholarship I got through the Honors Program. It might not have been possible for me to go to college without it."
