Specialized Communities
Our residence halls are open to all academic majors. However we offer a fantastic opportunity to live and learn with students on same gender floors or co-ed floors. There are floors for honors students, Women in Science and Engineering, engineering, the College of Natural Resources and more. Academic Themed Communities
Students living in these communities must have a major related to the academic focus of the community.
U of I Program Communities
Students must be accepted into the related program to live in these communities. Students in CAMP, Football or ROTC living areas may be reassigned to a different room within the community at the request of their program.
The College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) assists students who have qualifying migrant/seasonal farm work backgrounds by providing financial and academic support services. Living with other students within the CAMP program ensures you will receive the best focused support to succeed at the University of Idaho.
Wallace Residence Center, Willey 2nd (male) & Willey 5th (female)
Are you a scholarship recruit or walk on player to the University of Idaho football team? Live with other football players within Willey 1st, 2nd or 3rd floor. Your coaches have the option to reassign roommate matches if they deem necessary.
Wallace Residence Center, Willey 1st, 2nd & 3rd (select suites)
Choose living spaces with others who are joining the University of Idaho ROTC program. Live with those who have similar life goals and living habits. The United States Air Force, Army and Navy provide leadership training, coursework and preparation to enter service as a commissioned officer through the Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC).

These living communities are open to anyone who agrees to the community expectations.
Gender-inclusive housing allows for same gender, opposite-gender or gender nonconforming students to live together, regardless of biological sex. This housing option provides an environment where housing is not restricted by traditional limitations of gender.

Many students thrive in environments where people have different interests, hobbies and/or majors. Every residence hall has traditional communities.
