Research Experiences for Undergraduates

Note: The University of Idaho Research Experiences for Undergraduates program is on hiatus for the summer of 2015. Please check back next year.

The Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program at University of Idaho, sponsored by the National Science Foundation, builds on the groundwork provided in the classroom and gives students the ability to perform cutting edge scientific research in a real laboratory setting. As a participant in our REU program you will perform research as part of an established, internationally recognized physics department while enjoying a pleasant rural setting.

Student Compensation

Undergraduate students will spend nine weeks at the University of Idaho performing research with an active research group. Participants will receive a stipend of $5000, and all housing and travel expenses are covered.

Where

The University of Idaho is located in scenic Moscow, Idaho just below Moscow Mountain, and surrounded by the undulating hills of the Palouse. The Department of Physics is located in the Engineering-Physics building.
