‘Imaginary Invalid’ Shows Next Month at Hartung Theater
February 22, 2023
MOSCOW, Idaho — The classic comedy, “The Imaginary Invalid,” by legendary French writer Molière, opens Friday, March 3, for six performances at University of Idaho's Hartung Theater at 625 Stadium Drive in Moscow.
Presented by the Department of Theatre Arts and adapted by Oded Gross and Tracy Young, this version of "The Imaginary Invalid" maintains an over-the-top farcical tone while retelling the original play with updated language in a 1960s setting. The play is centered on a hypochondriac obsessed with managing his imagined ailments. Professor David Lee-Painter directs the play, which features Professor Craig A. Miller in the lead role.
Showtimes are:
- 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, March 3, 4, 10, 11
- 2 p.m. Sundays, March 5, 12
Tickets are free for U of I students and $8-20 for the public. Find tickets online or at the Hartung one hour before showtime. Credit cards are the only form of payment accepted for tickets. Refreshments will be for sale before the show in the lobby.
