Concurrent Degrees

Students who wish to maximize the investment of their time and money, and want to become more specialized may consider one of our concurrent degree programs. Concurrent degree programs allow students to earn a Juris Doctor and another graduate or professional degree in less time than would otherwise be required. This is possible because selected credits from one program can be used to satisfy credit requirements for the other program.

Concurrent degree candidates must fill out a separate graduation application for each degree.

J.D./M.ACCT. (Master of Accountancy)

The concurrent J.D./M.ACCT. degree, offered in conjunction with the University of Idaho College of Business and Economics, provides you the opportunity to combine the study of law and accountancy to better prepare yourself to practice in an increasingly dynamic, interdisciplinary and globalized marketplace. Available in Moscow.

J.D./M.B.A. (Master of Business Administration)

The concurrent J.D./M.B.A. program is offered in conjunction with the Boise State University College of Business and Economics. The program allows students to earn the J.D. and M.B.A. in four years, rather than the usual five. This distinct program provides you with invaluable opportunities and experiences to use a law and business degree in your career. Available in Boise.

J.D./M.S. in Accountancy, Taxation

The concurrent J.D./M.S. in Accountancy, Taxation program, offered in conjunction with the Boise State University College of Business and Economics, enables students to earn the J.D. and M.S. in Accountancy, Taxation in three to three and a half years rather than the usual four. Available in Boise.

J.D./M.S. in Environmental Science

The concurrent J.D./M.S. in Environmental Science, offered in conjunction with the University of Idaho Environmental Science Program, is designed to give students technical knowledge in natural resources and environmental science coupled with professional expertise provided by training in law. Available in Moscow.

J.D./M.S./Ph.D. in Water Resources (Law, Management and Policy)

The Water Resources graduate program provides interdisciplinary study options through the University of Idaho Water Resources Program to address complex water resources issues. We communicate across disciplines to broaden and deepen students’ understanding of these problems. The concurrent J.D./M.S. may be completed in four years, and the J.D./Ph.D. may be completed in six. Available in Moscow

J.D./M.P.A. (Master of Public Administration)

The concurrent J.D./M.P.A. program is offered in conjunction with the University of Idaho’s Department of Politics and Philosophy.  The program prepares students to lead by gaining the intellectual and practical skills needed to serve the public interest through positions in local governments and communities.  Courses emphasize topics such as community planning, organizational theory, public personnel, public policy and public budgeting.  Available in Moscow and Boise.
