While no one enjoys receiving a parking citation, they are a necessary tool in parking management, helping keep more spaces available for permit holders. With that said, the vast majority of our revenue comes from sources like permits, meters and events (85%). Only 14% of our revenue comes from citations and that's by design: a healthy parking system supports itself through proactive fees rather than reactive fines. Through communication, education and compelling parking products, we hope to keep citations the exception rather than the rule.
