Using Entomopathogenic Nematodes for Crop Insect Pest Control

PNW0544

December 31, 2011

Nematodes (nonsegmented, elongated and colorless roundworms) can be beneficial or harmful to crops and other plants. The former (entomopathogenic nematodes) attack soilborne insect pests but are not harmful to humans. This publication explores their use as a pest-control option. After detailing how entomopathogenic nematodes control pests, the authors explain how to select, purchase and apply them. This information will also improve your understanding of the specific pests that nematodes control best, how to identify commercial suppliers and the different ways you can store them.
